מינל קוסטסקו נכנס לחיי המשוררת גאולה הודס־פלחן כשהייתה מתבגרת בת אחת־עשרה. היא לא ששה לקבל את הזר אל חיק משפחתה, ורק שנים אחר כך, בעת משבר שפקד אותה, חל שינוי מהותי במערכת היחסים ביניהם.

בעדינות וברגישות יוצאת הודס־פלחן למסע אישי, רגשי וחשוף מאוד.

היא חוזרת אל שורשי המשפחתיות, אל מערכת היחסים שאינה מובנת מאליה בין אב חורג ובת,

ובוחנת כיצד התבצע המעבר ממערכת יחסים קרה וקורקטית אל אהבה ומסירות.

כתיבתה מייצרת עולם כן ואותנטי, רווי רגישות המוצאת ביטוי בכתיבתה העשירה, הציורית, הבהירה והנוגעת.

על הסופרת

גאולה הודס־פלחן (2022-1966) משוררת, מתרגמת ומסאית ישראלית, כתבה עשרים ספרים וקיבלה במה בחמש אנתולוגיות. שיריה ראו אור בעיתונים ובכתבי עת שונים וכן הושמעו מעל גלי האתר במרוצת השנים. גאולה הלכה לעולמה בטרם עת ב־ל' חשון, תשפ"ג, 24/11/2022. כתיבת ספרה מינל היתה משאלתה האחרונה.

טעימה מהספר

היכן התחילה העוינות? אולי באי ההבנות? אני שואלת את עצמי: האם הייתה זו הפיג'מה שנהגתי ללבוש בבית? האם היו אלה הרגלי האכלת החתולים שלי?
את הדבר הראשון ששמעתי עליך לא אשכח לעולם: "דוֹד רומני נחמד". כך נחרת תיאורך הראשון בזיכרוני, ולוּ הייתי מייחסת לו את החשיבות שלה הוא היה ראוי, כל מסכת היחסים שלנו הייתה מתהפכת.
הבן, אבא, גדלת במסגרת של חינוך קפדני ונוקשה מאוד. ומנגד הקשר בינינו היה קרקע טרייה שיש למלא אותה בזרעים שיניבו תוצרת משובחת. אבל בראשית הקשר בינינו לא שיבחת, אלא ביקרת, ואני הייתי נערה מתבגרת שזה עתה זכתה לשחרור מיד עריץ.
בראשית דרכנו יחד, אבא יקר, לא היה לנו סיכוי.
הייתי אז בת אחת־עשרה, ואתה, אבא יקר, בדרכך לליבי, עשית כל טעות אפשרית.
וגם אני עשיתי.
